Ultrasonic cleaner for car parts
Carbon, varnish and old oil come out of ports, galleries, jets and threads in one immersion. No blasting, no scraping, and machined faces keep their size.
Misonics supplies the ultrasonic cleaner for car parts in every workshop size: benchtop machines for injectors and carburettors, and floor-standing MSX 50 to MSX 240 tanks for heads, manifolds, valve bodies and driveline parts.
Intake manifolds, before and after
Diesel inlet manifolds from real service, photographed as they came in and after the ultrasonic cycle.

Manifold pair. Both banks cleaned together, so the engine gets a matched set back.

Flange port. The port was closing up on itself. Airflow is the job of this casting.

Rectangular inlet port. Hard carbon no rotary tool reaches without cutting metal.

Port bore. Back to the casting finish, with no media left behind to circulate.
Pick the chemistry by the soil and the metal
Settings below are from each product's technical data sheet. Rinse after every cycle.

Brulin AquaVantage 815 QR-NF
Heavy grease and carbon off steel, cast iron and aluminium. The everyday bath for workshop parts.
Not for copper, brass or bronze.
Product page →
Desludge
Carbon and sludge out of inlet manifolds, EGR parts, throttle bodies and sumps.
Aluminium is protected at working strength. Not for zinc, galvanised or magnesium.

Brulin AquaVantage 1696 GD
Near-neutral cleaner for carburettors and mixed aluminium and brass parts.
Test zinc die-cast bodies on a scrap part first.
Product page →
MetalTek 100
Baked carbon, paint and rust back to bare metal on cast iron heads, blocks and steel parts.
Ferrous parts only. Never aluminium.
Product page →
FX Degreaser
Light oil, grease and road film on steel parts.
On aluminium keep to 5% and 50 °C.
Product page →
Anti-Rust
Bare iron and steel flash rust while warm and wet. A dip after the rinse stops it.
Size the tank to the biggest part you clean each week
Benchtop machines for small parts. Floor-standing MSX 50 to MSX 240 tanks for heads, manifolds and driveline work.

MSX 15
- 300 W at 40 kHz
- 320 × 225 mm basket
- 240 V, 10 A socket

MSX 30
- 650 W at 25/45 kHz
- 490 × 235 mm basket
- 240 V, 10 A socket

MSX 50
- 1,500 W at 25 kHz
- 500 × 300 mm basket
- 240 V single-phase

MSX 70
- 1,500 W at 25 kHz
- 600 × 400 mm basket
- 240 V single-phase

MSX 140
- 3,000 W at 25 kHz
- 700 × 500 mm basket
- Weir, oil capture and filtration

MSX 240
- 4,500 W at 25 kHz
- 900 × 500 mm basket
- Weir, oil capture and filtration
Engine blocks and whole assemblies go in the EvoSonic range, from 180 L, with a lift platform as an option. The MSX 150 adds a rinse tank in the same frame.
Car and auto parts that suit ultrasonic cleaning
Fuel and induction
Carburettors, injectors, throttle bodies, inlet manifolds, fuel rails, EGR valves.
Engine
Cylinder heads, valves, pistons, rods, rocker gear, oil pump parts.
Driveline and brakes
Transmission valve bodies, calipers, ABS valve blocks, hydraulic fittings.
Strip the part first. Rubber seals, diaphragms, plastic floats and sensors come off before it goes in the basket.
How a workshop runs it
Take off seals and plastics. Knock off heavy deposits.
Bring the bath to temperature and degas it before the first load.
Space the parts so they do not shield each other.
10 to 15 minutes for most parts. Baked carbon on iron takes longer.
Clean water, then blow passages through with air.
Dip ferrous parts in Anti-Rust, dry and rebuild.
Built for the workshop day
Heated to 80 °C, insulated on the floor machines.
Delivered power holds steady as the basket goes in.
Weir, oil capture and filtration keep the bath working on oily parts.
Bath changes without bailing. Baskets carry the weight of real parts.
Questions workshops ask
Which chemistry do I start with?
What is the best ultrasonic cleaner for car parts?
Will it clean a gummed-up carburettor?
Is it safe on aluminium?
Do I need three-phase power?
Can it replace a solvent parts washer?
Best ultrasonic cleaner for car parts: the shortlist
Bench for carburettors and injectors, floor for heads and manifolds, by the biggest part you clean each week.
Carburettor banks and throttle bodies in the 490 × 235 mm basket, from a 10 A socket.
Intake manifolds and valve bodies in the 600 × 400 mm basket, 240 V single phase. Pistons, rods and calipers fit the MSX 50.
Desludge at 10–20% and 50 °C for sludge and carbon. 1696 GD at 5% and 55 °C for carburettors and alloy castings. The Alloy System for baked carbon on aluminium heads.
Heads and blocks at volume: the MSX 140 and above, or EvoSonic with the optional platform lift. Read how to choose the best industrial ultrasonic cleaner and the best ultrasonic cleaning solution for each job.
