Why this machine

The oil-management machine

This is the machine for genuinely dirty work: 140 litres with a displacement weir, oil capture and a 150 µm triple-interceptor basket, plus inline filtration — the full bath-defence system from our oil-management playbook built into the machine. Twin generators deliver 3,000 watts across a 700 × 500 mm basket that takes engine blocks, DPFs and heat-exchanger cores. Three-phase 415 V, 4 kW heating, and a bath that stays cleanable shift after shift.

Chemistry

Approved chemistry

Chemistry rule: these tanks are approved for the declared chemistry at the declared concentration and temperature. Acid chemistry needs an acid-duty specification. Hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid and pickling solutions are not permitted in the tank; acid processes are only possible by indirect cleaning in a chemically inert secondary container, and only with written Misonics approval.

Questions

Before you specify

Why 25 kHz on the floor machines?
Floor-scale parts carry floor-scale soils — baked carbon, heavy grease, scale. 25 kHz produces the large, aggressive cavitation that demolishes them, and stepless 10–100% power dials it back for finer loads. For genuinely delicate work alongside heavy work, pair with an MSX benchtop or ask about frequency options.
What does the weir system actually do (140/240)?
It is the bath-defence system: the displacement weir skims oil off the surface continuously, the 150 µm triple-interceptor basket catches solids, oil capture takes the skimmed layer out of circulation, and filtration polishes the bath. The result is written up in our oil-management guide — bath life multiplies and results stop drifting.
Single phase or three phase?
MSX 50, 70 and 150 run from 240 V single phase. The 140 and 240 need 415 V three-phase for their heating and generator load. Check the wall before you order — we confirm site requirements on every quote.
Are the tanks insulated?
Yes — all floor models carry insulated 3 mm SS316 tanks. Heat-up energy stays in the bath, the shop stays cooler, and operating cost drops with every shift.
What is the controller?
A programmable touchscreen: time, temperature and power per stored recipe (four of them), with level sensors and interlocks per model. Operators run named recipes; supervisors own the parameters.
Can I trial before committing?
Two routes: the laboratory trial on your parts, or rental — every floor model is in the fleet from $140–$337/week with the 21-day risk-free start. Most floor machines sell after the rental has already proven the process.
What goes wrong with baths at this scale — and how does the machine help?
Neglect, mostly: oil lids, sludge blankets, dead chemistry. The weir models automate the defences; on all models the ball-valve drain, insulated tank and recipe discipline make good habits cheap. Our filtration and oil-removal guides cover the operating rhythm.
What is in the box?
Basket, gas-strut lid, drain, level sensing, touchscreen controller, manual — AS3100 certified, 12-month warranty, commissioned advice on chemistry and first recipes included.
