The last rung on the ladder
Every range needs its court of final appeal. EcoTek Max is ours: a pH 14 maximum-strength alkaline for the deposits that defeat staged escalation — furnace-baked greases, heavy waxes, carbon with a decade of heat cycles behind it.
Strength this absolute writes its own rules. Ferrous metal only — not as advice but as physics; full PPE without exception; and a dedicated or well-protected tank, because pH 14 tests everything it touches. In exchange, deposits that survived everything else dissolve.
Use it deliberately, not habitually. Most work belongs lower on the ladder where chemistry is cheaper and gentler — but when the worst basket of the year arrives, it is very good to own the last word.
Where it earns its keep
Worst-case carbon and wax — furnace parts, heavy fabrication, mining GET.
Dose: 10–20%. The trial sets your exact process values; the TDS governs.
The working process
A freshly cleaned ferrous part is chemically active — protective films gone, surface warm and wet, rinse ions acting as electrolyte. Rust bloom can start within the hour. DI water rinsing slows it; protection stops it.
Inhibitor in the final rinse before hot-air drying, an Anti-Rust dip between processes, or a water-displacing film for storage — matched to the next process. Tell us what happens next and the protection specifies itself.
