The contamination

Animal fats and proteins

The daily load — films that harden with temperature cycles and shield bacteria from sanitisers if they survive the wash. Saponifying alkaline chemistry territory.

Carbonised residue

Ovens, smokehouse racks and cookers bake fats to carbon that pressure washing polishes rather than removes.

The hygiene standard

In an export-registered plant, "looks clean" is not a standard. Equipment must be cleanable to audit, on schedule, every day — which is a process argument, not a labour argument.

The results

Audit-standard cleanliness on schedule. Immersion cleaning reaches the mesh, hinges and weld seams that fail swab tests after manual washing.
Labour redeployed. The scrubbing crew becomes a loading crew — hours per shift return to production tasks.
