Why this machine

The dual-frequency workhorse

This is the machine that ends the frequency compromise. The MSX 30 runs 650 watts through a dual 25/45 kHz system: the low band demolishes carbon, grease and heavy soils; the high band finishes fine passages, threads and delicate surfaces — sequenced in one programmable cycle, in one 30-litre SS316 tank. Add load sensing, stepless power and a 490 mm basket taking 12 kg, and it is the best benchtop in its class — a statement we are happy to defend, basket for basket. It runs the same advanced G5-series industrial generator platform as our floor machines, is rated for continuous operation, locks its basket at drain position so drag-out returns to the bath, and carries the condensate-deflector lid. The machine we put in front of rebuild shops, armouries and serious workshops.

The headline feature

25 kHz demolishes. 45 kHz finishes.

Program the demolition pass for the carbon and the finishing pass for the fine work — one basket, one cycle, no compromise frequency. This is what separates the MSX 30 from every single-frequency tank at any price. The dual-frequency guide →

Two independent banks, each with its own generator and its own resonance — so 25 kHz and 45 kHz are both full-power settings, not one transducer detuned twice.

At the controls

Recipes, not memory

LCD touch panel

Time, temperature and power in one screen — glove-friendly, splash-sealed.

3 stored recipes

One per part family. Operators pick, press, load — every basket runs the documented cycle.

Stepless power 10–100%

Dial the intensity to the part, from delicate finishing to full demolition.

Load sensing

Delivered power held steady as load and temperature change through the shift.

Basket drain lock

Basket locks above the bath — drag-out drains back into the tank, not onto the bench.

Sweep · degas · heat to 80 °C

1 kW pad heating, thermostat protected — chemistry at its activation window.

Chemistry

Approved chemistry

Chemistry rule: these tanks are approved for the declared chemistry at the declared concentration and temperature. Acid chemistry needs an acid-duty specification. Hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid and pickling solutions are not permitted in the tank; acid processes are only possible by indirect cleaning in a chemically inert secondary container, and only with written Misonics approval.

Questions

Before you buy

What does dual frequency actually do for me?
One tank, two jobs done properly. 25 kHz produces big, aggressive cavitation for heavy soils; 45 kHz produces a denser, finer field for finishing and fine geometry. The MSX 30 sequences both in a programmed cycle — demolition pass, finishing pass — instead of forcing one compromise frequency. (MSX 15 runs a single swept 40 kHz, right for consistent light-industrial loads.)
What chemistry can these tanks run?
The full aqueous alkaline range — FX Degreaser for daily duty, FerroCarb for baked carbon on ferrous work, the Brulin 815 family for precision and approvals work. The 1.5 mm SS316 tank is specified for exactly this. Acid descaling chemistry stays in dedicated acid tanks.
What do the stored recipes do?
Time, temperature and power saved per part family — three of them. The operator picks 'Carburettors' instead of remembering settings, and every basket runs the same documented cycle. The MSX 30 adds fully programmable cycles including frequency sequencing.
What is load sensing?
The generator continuously reads the acoustic load and holds delivered power steady as baskets go in, temperature climbs and solution ages — so the last cycle of the shift cleans like the first.
Can it really replace our parts washer?
For parts that fit the basket — yes, and it cleans the internals a spray washer never touches. The honest limit is basket size: 320 mm (MSX 15) or 490 mm (MSX 30). Bigger parts belong with the MSX 50–240 trolley machines.
Do they need special power?
No — both run from a standard 240 V 10 A socket on the supplied 3 m lead. Max draw is 900 W (MSX 15) and 1,650 W (MSX 30).
What generator drives these?
The MSX 30 runs our advanced G5-series industrial generator platform — the same resonance-tracking drive family as the floor machines, here in benchtop form, and the hardware behind the dual-frequency cycle. The MSX 15 runs a swept single-frequency industrial drive with the same load-sensing discipline.
What is in the box?
Stainless basket, torque-hinged lid (attached), ball-valve drain fitted, 3 m power lead and manual — AS3100 certified, 12-month warranty, bench-tested before dispatch.
Rent or buy?
The MSX 30 is in the rental fleet at $63/week with the 21-day risk-free start — the popular route for shops proving the process before capital. The MSX 15 at $3,900 ex GST is purchase or trial — ask us.
