Bag housings that open
in twenty seconds.

The BFR quick-open multi-bag range — two to twelve bags, 72 to 288 m³/h, in 304 or 316L. Interlocked so the cover cannot open under pressure.

The argument

Twenty seconds, one person, no spanners

Most bag housings are a ring of bolts. Someone walks around the vessel undoing them, lifts a heavy cover off, changes bags, then walks around again doing them up — unevenly, which is how seals fail. The BFR range replaces that with a V-shape clamp and a handwheel.

Quick-open

Unlock, rotate the wheel, open. Twenty seconds from one standing position — no walking around the vessel, no bolts to tension evenly.

Interlocked

The cover cannot be opened until the vessel has been vented and the pressure relieved. A safety interlock, not a procedure someone has to remember.

Weight balanced

The cover opens vertically and stops at any angle under one finger. No overhead lifting gear and no side clearance for a swinging cover.

The range

Six sizes, one cover mechanism

Every housing takes the same Size 2 bag (φ180 × 810 mm), so one consumable covers your whole site no matter which size sits on which line.

Design temperature 0–250 °C, also limited by seal and bag material. Filtration 1–2000 micron. Housing 304 or 316L; legs, bolts and nuts stainless. Seals in NBR, EPDM, Viton, silicone, PTFE-encapsulated silicone or PTFE. Outside bead blasted; inside 120-mesh polish standard, food-grade optional. Connections flanged to HG20592-2009 (DIN), HG20615-2009 (ANSI) optional. Flow figures are for clean water at 10 micron — derate for viscosity, finer ratings and solids loading.

Price on application

Housings are quoted to duty — vessel size, material, seal compound, internal finish, connections and any certification requirement all move the price. Give us the fluid and the flow and you get a firm number, plus the expected bag change interval so you can budget the consumable too. Request a quote →

The alternative

This is what you are replacing

Bolted swing-bolt vessel cover
Quick-open cover raised
Do the arithmetic on your own site. If a bolted housing takes fifteen minutes to open and close and you change bags twice a week, that is around 26 hours a year of a tradesperson standing at a filter with a spanner — before you count the seal failures from uneven retensioning.

Tell us the duty, not the part number

Flow rate, fluid, temperature, particle size and how often you want to change bags. We size the housing and the bag around that and quote the pair, delivered and commissioned.
